Portraits of all the DJs and gogos who participated at the events in 2013-2016 have been painted now. That's 62 paintings. These digitally composed pictures above show an ideal exhibition for Drag Attack: basically a big enough space to show them all at once! En el invierno de 2018 tuvimos una exposición en la Galería Basso de Helsinki, organizada por Bridge Helsinki. 11 pinturas fueron mostradas. También hicimos un par de sesiones de maquillaje, estilismo y fotografía en la galería durante la exposición.
In Winter 2018 we had an exhibition at Basso Gallery in Helsinki, organized by Bridge Helsinki. 11 paintings were shown. We also did a couple of makeup, styling and photography sessions in the gallery during the exhibition.

DRAG ATTACK
Proyecto de Disco Club y exposición arte
Drag queen, Drag king, Drag freak... Drag puede ser casi cualquier cosa. Cuestionamos el género, la belleza, la raza y la condición hasta tal punto que un espectador pueda llegarse a preguntar si está ante un verdadero ser humano.
Este proyecto proviene de la experiencia del artista y DJ Tatu Vuolteenaho en Finlandia, donde realizó fiestas Drag Attack semanales en Helsinki.
La idea era simple: cada noche contaban con varios DJs invitados cuya imagen seguía el concepto Drag. Más de 60 DJs, los más representativos de la escena finlandesa, participaron en este experimento.
La música en Drag Attack - Disco Club es house and techno. Es bailable, inspiradora y divertida. Los DJs y artistas elegidos son internacionalmente reconocidos o están en proceso de serlo.
Drag Attack - Disco Club elabora y despliega decorados especiales y cuenta con bailarines y animadores. Nuestros DJs y colaboradores son de todo tipo: hombres y mujeres, jovenes y mayores, altos y bajos...
Drag Attack también es un proyecto de Arte.
Como punto de partida todos los DJs y artistas invitados tienen que vestir según nuestro concepto Drag en los eventos. A partir de ahí, fotografiamos, diseñamos carteles, grabamos vídeo y creamos pinturas de nuestras estrellas invitadas. Posteriormente se montará una exposiciñn con todo este material visual.
Ahora este concepto se traslada a una nueva ciudad, Madrid, y tambien en otras ciudades. Drag Attack tendrá eventos mensuales en lugar de los semanales y las fiestas serán más espectaculares.
El artista y DJ Tatu Vuolteenaho ha recibido una beca de arte de la Suomen Kulttuurirahasto (Fundación Cultural de Finlandia) para este proyecto.

DRAG ATTACK
Nightclub and art exhibition project
Drag Queen, Drag King, Drag freak ... Drag can be almost anything. We challenge gender, beauty, race and go even to the point where a viewer might ask if this is a human being or what.
This project comes from the experience of the artist and DJ Tatu Vuolteenaho in Finland, where he did Drag Attack parties weekly in Helsinki.
The idea was simple: each night had guest DJs who had to dress up in Drag in order to DJ. Over 60 DJs, the most representative of the Finnish scene, participated in this experiment.
Music in Drag Attack Club is house and techno. It's danceable, inspiring and fun. DJs and artists chosen are internationally recognized or are ready for it now.
Drag Attack parties will have special decorations, dancers and hosts too. Our DJs and collaborators are of all types: men and women, young and old, tall and short.....
Drag Attack is also an art project.
All DJs and guest artists have to dress up in drag in events. We take photographs, design posters, make videos and create paintings of our guest stars. Eventually we build an exhibition with all this visual material.
Now this concept is moved to a new city, Madrid, and to other cities too. Drag Attack has monthly events instead of weekly ones and the parties will be more spectacular.
The artist and DJ Tatu Vuolteenaho has received an art scholarship from Suomen Kulttuurirahasto (Finnish Cultural Foundation) for this project.
