Ziad Ghanem confirms once more his talent with his newest collection, titled An Ideal Husband and presented during London Fashion Week. “I feel it’s important to stay true to yourself. You cannot surrender at the beginning” the self-taught fashion designer told me some time ago “Of course I am prepared to compromise but only if I can stay faithful to my vision.” With his latest collection Ghanem has definitely stayed true to his aesthetics - an apparently chaotic mix of unrelated images, an insatiable cocktail of miscellaneous references – but at the same time has managed to refine and improve his signature look. His boys and girls, a contemporary version of the preppy style, looked smart and elegant, yet tough, sexy and dangerous. Ziad Ghahem
