June 12, 2006 LA BOUTIQUE BLACKBLOCK by Jamie E17 André, graffitist, inventor of places and events, creator of ‘Drapery’ in Paris, Tokyo and Lisbon, has opened with Palais de Tokyo a new space, BlackBlock. In a decoration evoking ‘a service station of the suburbs of Stockholm’, BlackBlock displays all kinds of trendy objects in glass fronted fridges. Contemporary and limited edition toys, clothing, music, art, jewellery, and even alien dildos will be discovered, designed buy a variety of artists including: Bless, Doki Doki, Tobias Wong, Keith Haring, Vuk Vidor, Takashi Murakami, Esoj, OBEY, Henrik Vibskov, Bobo and Blockmann. BB regularly invites personalities of the world of art, fashion or music, to adapt the space of the shop, to create their own universe and renew the spirit of the space.
