JUSTIN GOES BANANAS
by Jamie E17

This Sunday Bistrotheque hosts the private screening of Ian Wooldridge’s new film The Banana Monologue.

Ian Wooldridge is an independent filmmaker who casts people similar to the characters he writes so they play a parody of themselves. His scripts are humorous and use social critique to twist up a messy narrative.

The Banana Monologue is childishly sinister and a comic perversion of Justin Bond (the uber-talented cabaret drag star) going insane! Is he in a mental institution or a stately home? Does it matter? He is on a mission to tell his story whether it makes sense or not. The film uses twisted humour that doesn’t leave room to laugh, the film is bizarre and over the top.

Also starring: Princess Julia, Conrad Andrews, Namalee Bolle (pictured), Ryan Styles and Leo Belicha.
