Nayland Blake @ Fred London
by Aki Choklat

Artist, educator and curator Nayland Blake has his first UK solo exhibition titled “The Expulsion from The Garden” in London’s Fred Gallery. This New Yorker is one of the most influential contemporary artists whose work is included in the collections of the Brooklyn Museum of Art, Des Moines Art Museum, Museum of Fine Arts (Boston), San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Whitney Museum of American Art, and the University Art Museum (Berkeley).
Blake’s exhibition explores the internal relationships, and the complex emotional side of the partnerships in our lives. The show consist of 8 multimedia pieces from DVD loops to T-shirts and semen; a very personal account on grief, guilt and sexual longing.

A unique chance to see something extraordinary.
