July 20, 2006 Helsinki by Tatu Vuolteenaho Helsinki is a really good place to go for a summer break. I had the advantage of speaking Finnish, but people there understand and speak English well too, so you can get by with English as well. It is often +25 and sunny in Helsinki during the summer, so it could work as a beach holiday as well. There are the tourist attractions, art, architecture, and beaches, drinking and partying. Yes, more drinking and partying, also because in the middle of the summer it hardly gets dark at all so might as well just keep on going.
