"Flowerbomb" explodes in Paris.
by Antonia Leslie

The two men came out looking like young YSL's with beards, they stood in front of the new perfume campaign & were showered with pink confetti & a standing ovation. We had just been treated to the big bucks show of the week with 50 models, a turning stage & a homage to Richard Avedon's photos of 1950's models & their mothers. The first 25 outfits were all black, quite constructed & topped with motor cycle helmets sealed with Viktor&Rolf 'wax' logos, alien robots in heels, ribbons & bows. Then they took their places in the 'Avedon photo' on the revolving stage which turned to reveal all pink looks with pink mask make-up in another live photo. Do we miss the refinement of their couture days? No refinement to be seen for the fashion rush to the free perfume, just greed & speed.
