Paris says keep your old nylons!
by Antonia Leslie

At 6.30 in the evening we went to the outskirts of Paris again this time to see Martin Margiela. It's always quite relaxed before his show, with girls dressed in medicinal coats serving glasses of red wine. We were all divided into small dark places like hospital beds, only with black curtains. The girls appeared from the dark into light and left again, with the noise of the heels piercing the cardboard runway. What a beautiful choice of colours, the perfect cornflower blue, grass green with a twist, and acid orange for a surprise.Recycled flesh coloured stockings making vest tops, fishnet used as decoration or as transparent backs of bustiers, and shirt dresses worn as skirts.Very shiny fuschia or silver glitter on arms, necks, sometimes lips and the word "fin" letting us know it was all over folks
