Queer Nation’s B-day party on 23 Oct
by Tatu Vuolteenaho

Its 14 years since Queer Nation opened at the Gardening Club in Covent Garden. That first Sunday the club was attended by 65 curious clubbers. As the club grew in popularity some of the world's most famous djs and music makers crossed QN’s doors: Frankie Knuckles, Norman Jay, Barbara Tucker, Ultra Nate and many more. In 1997 the club moved to a sweaty Saturday night at Substation South and has stayed as one of the favourite clubs in London over the years. Queer Nation has outlasted practically every other weekly one-nighter club in the land - gay or straight. So the promoter Patrick Lilley, resident DJs Luke Howard, Jeffery Hinton and Supadon must be doing something right…Special live performance on the night by Juliet Roberts.
