October 25, 2004 Sam Taylor-Wood New Work by Kenny Campbell 29.10.04 - 04.12.04 White Cube, 48 Hoxton Square, London N1 This exhibition is the artist’s first solo show in London since 2002 and will include, amongst other works, two new series of photographs: Crying Men and Self Portrait Suspended. The Crying Men photographs are multi-layered in the sense that they toy with a suggestive, underlying truth that is never revealed, arousing desire in the viewer for resolution while always leaving it unsatisfied. Self Portrait Suspended also test the physical boundaries of the human body, this time using her own, shot in gravity-defying space set against the simple background of her studio wall. White Cube
