DANIEL WEINBERGER JEWELLERY

Belgian designer Daniel Weinberger makes amazing contemporary jewellery out of all kinds of materials, including glass, paper, Lego, plastic toys, decorative beads, vegetables and junk, strongly influenced by his Orthodox Jewish faith.

He studied jewellery, fashion and theatre design at the Royal Academy of Art, Antwerp; enamelling at the Bezalel Academy of Art in Jerusalem, and painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Temse, Belgium. He is professor of art in the jewellery, fashion and theatre department of the Municipal Art Academy of Berchem since 1977. He has worked as a costume and set designer for opera, ballet, musicals and TV both in Belgium and Israel.

Daniel has participated in about 50 exhibitions in Europe, USA and Japan with jewels, paintings, sculptures and instillation
