Fashion East A/W 07/08
by Kim Jakobsen To

The three designers showing at Fashion East for the Autumn/Winter season were as diverse as London.

Danielle Scutt was showing women in lame & satin with high hair and tomato lipstick. Taking inspiration from dog shows and Joan Collins and mixing it with crystal knuckle-dusters it was a funny surprise.

House of Holland was presenting his rhyming slogan tee's with belonging outfits, ranging from jackets to underwear. Holland was also extending the tee concept by using rubber, gold and plastic.

My favourite was however Louise Goldin (pictured). Taking her knitwear into a dark and glamorous realm she showed Laurence of Arabia style hoods, stretch facemasks, and organic patterns with small touches of strong colours. It was enigmatic, glittering and sexy crusaders.
