60'S TWEED AND CHECKS
by Antonia Leslie

We are all sitting in the L’Oreal institute bathed in very powerful light not a favourite of the fashion crowd (out come the latest big glasses and my Marks and Spencer).
The music starts and the first thing I notice are the modesty blaise earrings and refined use of tweed and checks.
The "Burlington socks" make an appearance in the form of leggings and his well loved geometric designs on jersey and wool adding a slightly Russian flavour. The whole thing was topped off with a chignon and smokey eyes. Barbarella the morning after.
