GOING WESTWOOD
by Antonia Leslie

Her joy in shape and sexuality was as captivating as usual and the central pivot to the collection surrounded by a chaos of copper leather, duchess satin, tartan, type faces and hats. There were Hollywood icons with a wooly scarf or French revolutionaries in mini skirts.
All the colours and textures were used from teddy to pink. Oh and never forget the footwear with the importance of the elongated leg and ankle (the shoes are actually very stable until your foot collapses sideways). Despite the rather serious models, her shows still manage to be the maverick element in a highly business oriented fashion week not only for the catwalk but her constant fans in caveman outfits heard to be telling a journalist for some eurotrash channel "it is much more comfortable like this".
