GEORGIE PORGIE
by Jamie E17

This Friday is the private view of 'Georgie Porgie' an exhibition curated by artist Infinity Bunce and Daniel Baker creator of Donkey Head.

Infinity’s work fuses the mundane and the exotic. They are images of 'urban youth', and explore complexities of race, 'Britishness', masculinity and youth culture. They evoke and describe the aspirations of marginalised groups, who are attempting to forge individual identities through methods of display and performance. Infinity's gaze is at once voyeuristic, desiring, and empathetic, and raises questions around cultural voyeurism itself and the middle-class romanticisation of particular demographic groups.

Other artists featured include Kim Noble and Craig Wilson. Plus a series of performances from Calum K Farr.
