July 24, 2007 Diskon Tulevaisuus by Tatu Vuolteenaho Diskon Tulevaisuus (the name in English is “The Future of Disco“) is a club in Helsinki and this time the theme was Egypt. Random Doctors did the Visuals, La Perse crew provided the decoration, the freaks and the warm-up DJs. Lil’ Tony took us on a 6 hour dance journey trough futuristic minimal house and techno. His music created fun and magical mental spaces for the crowd and they all seemed to have good time and enjoyed playing with the golden decorations too. All aspects of a club were working well together and there seemed to be some kind of spiritual aspect in the night as well. Dance parties have had spiritual aspect for thousands of years and it’s good to see that there is still something else than consumerism behind the club culture. More pictures from the night
