Enrico David At the ICA
by Anthony Symonds

To mark the 60th anniversary of the ICA we finally get a chance to hear Enrico David’s disparate and confusing murmurings in glorious suroundsound.
Featured works include something old, something new, something borrowed, something poo (that’s poo, as in poo)
Red herrings abound in this capricious romp through David’s dazzling and playful ‘fuck you very much’ back and front catalogue.
Technique, medium and narrative are abused and misused in equal measure in order to create this uniquely elegant, stagey and uncertain outcome. Fake boardrooms, Embroidered schematics, clocks, lamps, photographs, sculpture and even painting get dragged into Mr D’s office for a good seeing to. Listen to this cacophony of raucous abjection make beautiful music at the ICA until Nov 11th.
