DAVID SHRIGLEY
by Jamie E17

Glasgow-based British artist, David Shrigley returns to the Stephen Friedman Gallery for his 5th exhibition. David's solo show is a collection of darkly disturbing drawings, doodles, sculptural work, photography and animation.

David's art frequently asks questions about the nature of contemporary art and its audience - the dysfunctional absurdity of our existence.

Other recent projects include the newly released album 'Worried Noodles' including collaborations by David Byrne, Hot Chip and Franz Ferdinand. His latest artist's book is entitled 'Ants Have Sex in Your Beer', published by Redstone Press, 2007.
