December 18, 2007 Juan Muñoz: A Retrospective by Jamie E17 A retrospective of Spanish artist Juan Muñoz kicks off the new year at Tate Modern.The retrospective features a diverse range of work, from the well-known, and loved, sculpture/ installations, to drawings, sound, light and mechanical pieces and several performances. Juan came recognized internationally in the mid 80's with dramatic sculptural installations that placed the human figure in specific architectural environments. This is the first major solo retrospective of Juan Muñoz in the UK since 'Double Blind' (2001), his installation for the Turbine Hall, the second in the Unilever Series at Tate Modern. There will be a three-gallery focussed display of Juan's work until 20th April '08 and several performances will occur during the exhibition.
