An Indian Afternoon in Paris
by Antonia Leslie

What an Indian start to the Paris season with Rajesh Pratap Singh and Manish Arora both showing today. Manish showed in dark hot place. The walls were lined with metal pots and pans on square metal shelving designed by the artist Subodh Gupta. I should think everyone wanted the same for their kitchens. The clothes were as usual sumptuously embroidered with Indian know how. This time the theme was ancient Japanese warriors (and Mickey Mouse). The samurai girls all had spiky diamante head dresses and swinging ponytails. There was even a slight hint of space movies form the sixties. A very glamourous mix indeed for a Sunday afternoon. Oh by the way check out his shoe line Fish Fry for Reebok.
