A DAY IN THE LIFE OF ISABEL MARRANT
by Antonia Leslie

Although Isabel showed in a tent next to the Eifel Tower, the Parisian influence could not be further away from her designs. Yes there is still Norh Africa but this time the Russian peasant of the Tolstoy era was there with the mid calf boot, tucked in low waisted trousers and and sheepskin waistcoats tied with string. In fact come to think of it land workers from everywhere, even the old west with felt jackets and beige boots and right up to lumberjacks from Canada with red checked shirts and whoops one intellectual poet in a red velvet jacket. It takes all sorts to make a world.
