February 26, 2008 THE DARK SIDE OF THE FRILL by Antonia Leslie Those off grape and grey colours and of course the deep prunes take the boudoir side of this collection to a much spookier place. I loved the combination of vamp and camp. This was a very mature show from Sharon (not boring who said boring?). This Paris seasons length skirt long high waisted and below the knee but with a touch of Gloria Swanson in the "monkey" fur apronette or knee band. These skirts were teamed with very well cut tight to the body jackets full of intriguing tailoring. Then out floated a series of moth dresses in draped and pleated chiffon, sometimes printed sort of arbitrarily. Just incase you were worried that the pleated chiffon dresses were going to fly away like moths they were weighed down with black wool petticoats or solid shoes.
