November 26, 2004 HIROSHI KAN by Rob Diament Hiroshi Kan is one of Japan's leading contemporary artists and designers. His work usually sells out the same day it arrives on the walls of Tokyo's ‘Rocket’ gallery. His first UK solo exhibition, held earlier this year at ‘Blink’ in Soho, displayed unusual hand painted art works inspired by Fifties modernist architecture. Clothing label ‘Fullcircle’ were so inspired by his illustrations they specially commissioned Kan to design colourful backdrops for their 2004 spring/summer advertising campaign.
