We were all plunged into that strange world of Russian fairy tales, which is mysterious and has very little to do with the fairies we know. How about the witch Babyaga who was covered with hair, or the tree that is really a trapped woman, or birds that are almost lizards. Aleena always manages to keep herself entirely Russian with little influence from here and is always surprising. The colours were all places and plants in the forrest, the prints were feathers and talons and the fabric was often hair. It came swirling out from under tweed jackets or just was simply the whole shift dress. As for the horses hooves complete wtih ankle webbing straps, well they turned out to be the shoes with swinging tassels in place of heels. Well didn't we all live happily ever after.
