June 22, 2009 Phillipa Horan 'Ism, Prism, Jism' by Rob Diament Phillipa Horan's forthcoming solo show 'Ism, Prism, Jism' consists of a series of new sculptures - totems with clay heads, carved wood hands and polyester resin-cast balls and ball curtains; alongside a number of new large-scale paintings. Horan’s recent works continue her interest in ideas of power and explore the results of her ongoing systematization and chromatographical breakdown of art history.
