March 7, 2010 i dream of genie by Antonia Leslie Tsumori Chisato had a birthday show this year, she was twenty and what a pleasure it has been knowing her work for all that time. The show was sumptuous and gave an injection of colour and fun to Paris fashion week. Lots of prints as usual, sequins, stripes, fur and trimmings. The theme was desert nomads, so the girls came out from a tent on to a catwalk covered in carpets,maybe they should have been flying on them. There were lots of Arabic elegant hoodies and harem pants.The cape was her outer wear, draped negligently over the shoulders and evening wear, integrated and becoming the draped back of a silk cocktail dress. Her accessories are as interesting as the clothes and we got our favourite accessory, the Tsumori show bag, black with gold spots and birthday printed handles. Thank you. Tsumori Chisato
