March 4, 2011 buzz at atsuro by Antonia Leslie After two seasons off the catwalk it was nice to see Atsuro Tayama's show. Stripes in every form were the theme of his return. There were stripes of detached bands wound around sleeves or rows of zips. There were apliqued stripes on the front of short coats with a slight Twiggy sixties feel. But the really strong pieces were the knitted fashion "bee" dresses and tunics sometimes with origami like 3d sleeves as their wings. This was achieved with hidden wire running through the knit like old fashioned petticoats. They were great fun and in very beautiful colour combinations, rust and black or porridge and black.
