Place de la Concorde and the purpose built tent is where the Leonard show took place. It was chilly but bright outside and on the inside bright pink light hit all the faces of the crowd. The show started with Leonard's signature printed silk and wool jersey but Veronique Leroy had changed the style. In the place of flowers and birds was a stark cubist print in browns creams and rusts. She moved to a random Miro style print on a black background and swiftly on to bands of lizard skin print. Even when the flowers did arrive they had been simplified to large black chrysanthemums on pale blue, rather like early Chinese pottery. This design lent itself well to the wide legged bustier jumpsuit, the floor length a line dress and the strict to the knee dress closed tight at the neck. Well printed!
