that touch of red
by Antonia Leslie

We were in the chilly but beautiful Lycee Carnot sitting on our hands to keep warm. In front of us was a small forrest of trees in the dark, well actually scaffolding painted red. That touch of red carried on when the girls came out and glided their way through the upright poles. The first looks through were fluid black layering with touches of red and blue. The big surprise of the night was Yohji Yamamoto high heels, not Louboutin height but still. The signature black was cut suddenly by all red layers, very urchin like and then even a knitted peach blanket coat. Something between a cardigan and a fitted asymetric poncho came out next which made the girl look a modern pottery vase. Not to be missed was the perfectly circular red coat hanging off one shoulder like a no way sign. See image.
