June 19, 2012 20th ANNIVERSARY OF LIFEBALL: 2012 by Anett-Patrice van York The 20th anniversary of Europe's biggest aids charity event LIFEBALL attracted icons from the international world of fashion, music, dance and film! The theme 'fight the flames of ignorance' inspired this year's flamboyant look of the legendary ball. Live performances were,among others, by Jon Secada, Milla Jovovich, the Scissor Sisters, Mattafix and Randy Crawford. Former US president Clinton, Antonio Banderas and Brigitte Nielsen were among the star presenters, and a 20 year retrospective fashion show on the red ribbon catwalk was hosted by Vogue Italia, presented by Mini. Fashion names included Westwood, Gaultier, Mugler, Cavalli, Treacy, Moschino and Ferre. Also supermodels like Tatiana Patitz, Alek Wek and Aimee Mullins were present! 2.1 million was raised this year! What a succes LIFEBALL 2012
