February 13, 2005 Bora Aksu, A/W 2005 by Aki Choklat Promise Land London Fashion Week opening day brought us Bora Aksu’s show, titled Promise Land. This is his 5th show since his graduation from Central St. Martin’s, and the strongest one yet. The collection was what he does best: flowing beautiful silhouettes with ethnic and historic references. The key theme was carved wood accessories and gold embellishments that provided a nice anchor to the otherwise light and sexy lines. The colours were his signature khakis, with deep purples and burned oranges. The shoes were weathered leather and embroidered hemp boots layered with spats.
