February 22, 2005 Jeff Mills made me sweat by Tatu Vuolteenaho First impression on entering The End club was that everything goes smoothly. The atmosphere was comfortable and the crowd was in a good friendly mood. DJ Anderson Noise played the warm-up set with deep and hypnotic techno house and then Jeff Mills came on. Rarely have I seen as much enthusiasm and cheering among party goers. I was personally hoping for something more experimental from his set but it did get everyone dancing. Those direct heavy pounding tracks in themselves if just played one after another might not have done the trick. It was Jeff’s mixing style that created the excitement and surprises. It was good to get into the state where it’s just you dancing to the music in the crowd and then the mind starts traveling…It was a classic techno dance experience. www.axisrecords.com
