Cafe Oscar
by Tatty Devine

Last week, during Paris Fashion Week an exclusive event took place. It has been said by The New York Herald Tribune to be a return to the classic era of French cabaret. A musical evening in tribute to the Oscars took place at the appropriately name Café Oscar. Audience participation and some very unusual a capella performances were on the bill. The event was hosted by Toby Rose, over past seasons Toby has entertained us with these evenings, with themes including Abba and Michel Jackson. This one has been my favourite as both Rosie and I managed to get on stage. Rosie sung Somewhere Over The Rainbow and I got to use my unusual talent for reciting entire scenes from Dirty Dancing. We now have a cardboard Oscar in pride of place in the studio.
