May 31, 2005 SALLY ROSS: SNAKE by Kenny Campbell Snake is a series of large-scale paintings depicting the hunt for a giant anaconda. The paintings contain extraordinary levels of detail and pattern, creating a visual snare which parallels the simultaneously seductive and dangerous imagery of the anaconda hunt. Snake draws on our curiosity, fascination, fears and repulsion in relation to these giant beasts and explores the eternal struggle between human beings and the natural world.
