LA TOUR D'ARGENT, PARIS
by Temposhark

La Tour d'Argent, in the heart old Paris, has to be the most delicious, and most expensive, restaurant I've ever had the pleasure of being taken to. Its penthouse dining room serves up an unforgettable panoramic view over the River Seine and Notre-Dame Cathedral.

The fame of La Tour d'Argent grew during its ownership by Frédéric Delair, who started the practice of issuing certificates to diners who ordered caneton (pressed duckling). The birds are numbered: the first was served to Edward VII in 1890, and now they're over one million!

The restaurant's slogan of 'Nothing is more serious than pleasure' left an indelible print in my mind, resurfacing in a new Temposhark album track dedicated to the romantic French capital.
