moustache
by Stik

In India the moustache reigns supreme. A male top lip that does not sport one is very rare thing. Here in the southern states of Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu dress and grooming is very regimental. The cult of individuality and youth tribes seems to have so far evaded this culture. It's moustaches, plaid shirts and fold up sarongs for the fellas and long braided hair and saris for the ladies. A trip to the barbers is a very special experience and would rival any beauty parlour for pampering. It includes multiple creams, processes and sensations, and crescendos in a hypnotising and vigorous head and back massage. If the barber i had was giving massages like that in London we'd call him a thearpist and pay him a small fortune. Here it costs 2 quid and is a run of the mill practice.
