Brazilian invasion on NY Fashion Week
by Alysson Gothz

The Olympus Fashion Week Spring 2005 (also known as the New York Fashion Week) saw not only the latest collections of America’s greatest labels, but also the debut of a few Brazilian designers. Among them, Alexandre Herchcovitch was one of the names that made this NY season more exciting. Herchcovitch, the most acclaimed designer in his country, did two shows on 7th on Sixty, menswear and womenswear. His mix of couture and streetstyle, his great clash of patterns and colours, received great reviews from the media. On his womenswear show, Herchcovitch built a huge circular garden with 16,000 flowers, creating a dreamy and lovely atmosphere. As its date was 09/11, that scenery was a respectful gift for the city.
