September 14, 2004 Thorsten van Elten opens in London by Tatu Vuolteenaho New Thorsten van Elten shop opens in London on October 14th. Thorsten has been building up a successful reputation as manufacturer of design-led products by young London-based designers. His philosophy has always been simple: "to work with people I like on products I love" and the new shop will embody this philosophy. Highlights of his own collection include Antlers by Alex Taylor (pictured), Pigeon light by Ed Carpenter and Books to go by Rose Cobb. Thorsten also intends to bring in more unusual quirky items and products he has selected especially for the shop from his travels around the world.
