February 18, 2006 BASSO & BROOKE: Science & Fiction A/W 06 by K A B I R Basso and Brooke (B&B) took us to a dark place beneath the London Bridge arches for their latest foray into all things print. The 'Power Prints' duo based their new collection on science fiction from the Victorian era to the future, from technical drawings to computer circuitry. The shape of the clothes was less voluminous than their previous collections, with a more tailored feel. Accessoriesed by stylist du jour Namalee Bolle, with metal multistrapped belts by Johnny Rocket for B&B, that cinched in a high waist over dresses and jackets. The evening section of the show was given to an extremely dark palette of colours just glimpsing out of the black, where long shinning buggle beaded hooded capes were reminiscent of Grace Jones.
