THE BOYS ARE IN TOWN
by Antonia Leslie

The hair was wonderful. Very clever extensions and whispy knots across
the head. Then Yohji went to town on the suits. There was ingenious tailoring, double lapels and extra sleaves, too long and empty. Some suits were dip dyed, a recurring theme for several seasons. There was silk velvet, aged and bleached. The trousers were cut beautifuly with too large waists secured by a belt directly on the body. Large pants fell into crinkle carves or spilled over shoes. Gangsters and petty criminals mixed with gentlemen tramps. The whole lot topped off with the Cowboy Junkies, nice to hear them again.
