The Kolour of Kings
by Hanna Hanra

My classical education (Latin, Greek and boys) tells me that in ancient times purpura (purple) was a special colour, worn only by the highest folks in society. It was derived from a special clam or something and was hard to get hold of. Skip a few thousand years and the only purple that’s hard to get hold of is a decent krazy kolour one..... they're either too red or two blue. So the special trick is getting someone who knows how to do it for you, like Richard @ Tommy Guns. He mixed blue directions with red krazy for this royal colour. The only problem is that when one washes one's royal barnet it drips a la Leigh Bowery as it's not water resistant, which is a bit of a bind if you wear a lot of white....
