The newish kid on the block whose first Paris show was in 2011. Just three years of shows and he felt very seasoned. Silhouettes were mainly dark and covered. They had an almost demure work wear appeal to them (very Japanese I can see these in Dover Street Market...I just checked and he is there already). His fabric choices were very personal (I hear you say aren't they always...well yes) and he used them to enhance these quite solid looks. Rayon fringes looked liked reinforced steel, a pale blue fluffy type of felt reminded one of removal blankets and a crinkled fabric looked like used metal sheeting. These were some of the most exciting fabrics seen in my fashion week. The reworked brothel creepers, which looked like delicate protective footwear even gave the ruched satin dresses a construction appeal. The ruined barricades dipped in gold by artist Aaron Young was the accident waiting to happen that was the perfect foil for this show. Thank you Mr David for working so hard.
