Her signature solidness and richness of fabric was very apparent in this show (she could make a bikini in car seat fabric work). Lots of the cream colour that she particularly likes opened the show. The shapes were simple with textures that seemed to be reworked knitting stitches, cable jostled with pearl. This theme also appeared in the regulated chevron woven wool seen in mustard, cherry and cornflower blue. This was used for such diverse items as an oversize blouson, a pencil skirt and a pinafore. The volumes were ample but sleek and just big enough to describe her fabrics. These went on to include a "TV interference" tweed, which was rough yet soft and finished with a wool-rippled felt and with red woven chevrons. The foil to all this solidity were the metal belts which cut the silhouettes like a knife and gave a flash of metal that attracted the eye. Thank you Miss Leroy for using the thick to give us the svelte.
